A Cultural and Social Program of a Million Colours Awaits you at ICC Quebec 2008!

Opening night of the congress invites all the delegates from around the world to wear and show-off their traditional costumes to attain the banquet and to start the celebration of ICC Quebec 2008 in company of MACKINAW, a cultural company that offers a vast catalogue of choreographies from Quebec as well as international, where dance will be knitted together with history, thanks to theatrical expression and to a thousand hand made costumes that respect and honour the authenticity of each country.

Founded in 1974 and based in Drummondville, MACKINAW got its name from the red and black plaid jackets that our Quebec ancestors wore to go to work in the woods.  Since its foundation, MACKINAW has elaborated quite a few different productions offering over 1800 representations across North America, Europe, Africa and Asia.

Cultural and touristy activities will also be planned and organized to benefit from the Quebec hospitality and in order to get a real taste of experiences that are worthy of Quebec traditions.

Amongst other things, prepare yourselves to discover Amerindian culture, to taste maple products, to jump into a pile of leaves and to try some of our traditional sports such as broomball.
