Special training with specialist Jim Cain
Mr. Jim Cain will be a presenter at ICC 2008 in October. He will run a pre-congress course on Teambuilding and Leadership. This will be a two-day course held at a camp in close proximity of Quebec City. He will also be a presenter in the Camp Style afternoon. Others sessions will be offered throughout the congress by Mr. Cain.
Dr. Jim Cain is the author of five adventure-based teambuilding texts: Teamwork & Teamplay, which received the Karl Rohnke Creativity Award presented by the Association for Experiential Education (AEE); The Book on Raccoon Circles; A Teachable Moment; Teambuilding Puzzles; and The Value of Connection - In the Workplace. He is the owner and creative force behind the training company known as Teamwork & Teamplay, a Senior Consultant for the Cornell University Corporate Teambuilding Program, and a former Executive Director for the Association for Challenge Course Technology (ACCT). He is the innovator of more than three dozen teambuilding activities and props. Jim makes his home in Brockport, NY.
He holds four engineering degrees including a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Rochester. He frequently serves as a visiting professor and staff development specialist on subjects ranging from teambuilding and experiential education using adventure-based and active learning strategies to corporate culture and leadership. In the past decade, he has presented programs and workshops in 44 states and 12 countries and generally has more teambuilding equipment and a library of adventure-based and active learning books larger than that of many developing nations.
