ICC Quebec 2008 Theme and Goals

The theme "In living colors" that was selected for the 8th International Camping Fellowship Congress represents the diversity of the attending camps by the various customers who will be present, the multitude of missions pursued, and by the many programs and actual experiences in several countries throughout the world.

Quebec City is the perfect place in which to gather during October, since autumn is when Mother Nature puts on her most dazzling display of colors!

ICC Quebec 2008 is a unique international event whose goal is to create opportunities for the exchange of ideas and the creation of alliances between camp representatives from various cultures and various countries.  More specifically, for volunteer and professional representatives, ICC Quebec 2008 is an opportunity to discover and exchange on new trends, developments, and other subjects which could influence the world of camping on a local or global scale as well as a time oriented towards networking and developing partnerships with organizations located in other parts of the world.

Not only is ICC Quebec 2008 an opportunity for delegates to discover Quebec for its camps and its capital (which will be celebrating its 400th anniversary), but also an open door to the world of camps on a global scale, where together it is possible to understand who we are, who our partners are, what our common foundations are, the stakes that we share and the consequences of our actions.

Above all, ICC Quebec 2008 is a distinct voice for promoting summer camps, day camps and other similar experiences, as key factors for personal growth and development.

During the 3rd day or our event, which will be October 6th, 2008, ICC Quebec 2008 and the Worldwide Leisure Congress will have a program in common.  The presence of both congresses at the same place and at the same time will allow different delegates to attain, with no extra cost, for a day, a large variety of resources and contacts!
