Quebec city & 400th anniversary

Come discover the many attractions Quebec City and its surronding have to offer

Quebec City with theParlement du gouvernement (The Government Parliament) la Citadelle(the Citadel) and the fortifications enlacing Old Quebec, the museums, such as the “Musée de la civilisation” (The Civilisations Museum) and the Musée national des beaux arts du Québec(The National Art Museum of Quebec), the Parc aquarium du Québec(The Aquatic Park Museum of Quebec), the historic neighbourhoods of Charlesbourg, Beauport, Cap-Rouge and Wendake where even today, a Huron reserve live off their own reserves to the joy of the visitors, curious to discover traditional Amerindian cuisine and a unique ancestral culture.  Furthermore, visit one of the preferred meeting places situated relatively close to the city such as the Parc de la Chute-Montmorency (The Montmorency Waterfalls) whose waterfall is close to 30 meters (100 feet) higher than Niagara Falls.

The Côte-de-Beaupré with its majestic basilica and its snow geese festival, allow us to observe birds in their natural surrounding.  Amongst others, white geese stop by the thousands at the National Faun Reserve of cap Tourmente before continuing their journey towards the South.  Also discover Mont Sainte-Anne and the “Parc des sept chutes” (park of seven waterfalls) or even the Ste-Anne canyon during the beautiful autumn coloured period.

The tour of the Île d’Orléans offers you a bucolic view and allows you to taste wines, ciders, cheeses and chocolates made on the spot, to pick locally cultivated fruit, as well as to discover local and out of town artists.

You must also come and enjoy outdoor and village activities that are offered in large selections especially in the Jacques-Cartierand Portneufareas.

The region of Quebec also offers sugar shacks open all year round where you can go to savour delicious products transformed from maple water where we later get the divine syrup and the very popular toffee.  We obtain it by pouring reduced and boiling syrup onto the fresh snow; we let it take; we wrap it around a stick and we enjoy!

Whale cruses are also offered a few hours out of Quebec City.

So, staying in Quebec is an enriching experience on all levels.  History, scenery, architecture of a rare beauty, omnipresent nature and a cultural life where so many aspects can not be offered in any other large city as well as they are offered in Quebec City.

For a trip full of emotions, Quebec is your destination!  It’s a city where each activity is made in order to have a good time, to travel and where its residents, very kind and easy to get to; know all about the word welcome.  Plus, with open arms that they practise it every day, smile on their faces and heart in hand!
